  • It is only a 560 pF capacitor added!

Looks like a fun little project. It made a dramatic difference in your video on the LW band over that internal ferrite wire-wound antenna.

Yes, it's ok dear Dan E! '73

Where are these points in the schematic diagram of PL-660?
Would be good to know fore mods in other radios such as S-8800e...

I do not know, sorry!

Sorry for asking the obvious. To enable an external antenna for LW/AM, all that needs to be done is to add the capacitor? The socket for SW/FM can be used to connect the antenna voor LW as well?

Also: does adding the capacitor have an impact on reception using the build in ferrite antenna only?

thanks!

No impact if you listen with an external ferrite antenna!!

When I connect an external antenna, can I disconnect the internal antenna? It is better to cut off because the internal antenna picks up noise, but how is it?

yes, you can put an external switch to the ferrite antenna connections, if you want!

Hello! There is also a better way to connect an external antenna to MW LW! If a stereo jack is used! There are free unused legs on the board socket. This will not connect the inputs of the different bands. Which is the idea of the manufacturer.

I'm sorry I abandoned the changes .. I don't think so, aesthetic ruin of the radio, in my opinion
